The Zoom G5 guitar effects and amp simulator pedal has a little bit of everything for the performing and recording musician -- with more effects and amp models than you could possibly use in a day or even a week, plus a real tube circuit, easy to use tone-shaping tools, an onboard looper, an LCD display/footswitch interface, an expression pedal with 3D parameter control, awesome DSP, and much more. Whether you're playing live at a large venue, or in the studio for an audience of one, Zoom's G5 multi-effects pedal is sure to liven up your guitar rig.

Ultimate Control Over Your Guitar Tones The Zoom G5's smart design combines the ease of a stompbox pedalboard with the power of a multi-effects pedal and the convenience of an USB audio interface. Although the feature-laden G5 may seem like it has a lot going on, it's actually very easy to use, especially during live performances. With the G5's graphical interface made up of four big LCD displays, dedicated footswitches, and three control knobs for each display, you get real-time control of up to nine simultaneous stomps and amp effects. Do everything on the fly -- create, save, and rearrange your sounds' effect chain -- without having to scroll through endless menus or navigate a confusing interface.

Tube Booster Adds Focused Intensity to Your Sound If your guitar solo calls for a little more warmth and oomph than normal, tap into the G5's Tube Booster -- a real 12AX7 tube circuit -- which adds up to 16 dB of amp overdrive to your performance, gives you EQ control, and also provides a power boost when recording direct.

"Super Real" Amps -- and Way Too Many FX Make things a little easier on yourself: instead of bringing all your prized amps to the show, take advantage of the G5 pedal's many simulated amp sounds and amp models. From clean and crunchy to loud drive tones, the G5 is capable of reproducing the characteristic qualities of a range of amplifiers.

Over a hundred types of stompbox effects -- 123, to be exact -- give you a fast pass to all the FX you could want for any gig. The G5 covers distortion, compression, modulation, delay, and reverb -- and you can use up to nine effects at a time, in any combination.

3D Action Expression Pedal Unlike most of the expression pedals you're used to playing, the Z-pedal on the G5 senses both up/down and side to side movement. Move your foot this way and that on the Z-pedal to access effects and assign as many as three parameters in each vertical and horizontal movement.

Live Looper and Integrated Drum Machine As a nice bonus, the G5 pedal features a looper with 60-second phrase recording/overdubbing. For some real-time fun, use it to layer guitar sounds as many times as you want, and use looped sounds as simple backing tracks.

When you pair the looper with the Zoom G5's realistic DSP effects and the built-in drum machine, you can make your solo show feel more like a full band. As far as drums go, you can choose from more than 40 different rhythm patterns, including 4-, 8- and 16-beat, shuffle, and so forth. You can hit the tap key to set your desired tempo. You'll find this pedal to be an indispensable practice tool!

Built-In Real-Time Tuner It's natural for your guitar to get out of tune as you play, so to help you keep your intonation in check, the pedal sports a handy real-time Tuner function. To start tuning, just hold down the pedal's center footswitch.

Doubles As a USB Audio Interface for DAW Recording When you want to record a quick demo or simply capture part of a rehearsal, the G5 can serve as your USB audio interface for direct DAW recording. Record directly to your computer via USB, with all of your sound settings intact. Thanks to the G5 guitar pedal's direct monitoring capability, you won't have to worry about latency.

Balanced XLR Output for DI Use Eliminating the need for a DI box, the Zoom G5 has a balanced XLR output that allows you to connect the G5 to any mixing console and sustain a balanced, high-quality signal no matter what. Moreover, the G5's Pre/Post switch can direct the "wet" effected sound to the main outputs while sending the original "dry" analog guitar signal directly to the XLR output without passing through an A/D converter.

Free Edit and Share Software Using Zoom's free Edit&Share software, it's easy to create, edit, and save your personalized amp and effect settings on your Mac or PC. The software features "radar charts" that present visual representations of each preset's tone characteristics; an amp/effect sorting tool that helps you locate your sounds; and the ability to rearrange patches for editing purposes with drag-and-drop simplicity. With Edit&Share, you can download patches online and even share your patches with others.

The G5 also comes with Steinberg Cubase LE recording software, giving you everything you need to start making music.
